Position Summary

Poseida Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking an outstanding candidate to join our Quality Control team. The Quality Control Analyst I will be a member of a dynamic team that ensures the safety of our products at various points during the manufacturing process by performing environmental monitoring, raw material and final product testing, and working cross-functionally with individuals and departments within the Pilot Plant Facility.


Responsibilities

These may include but are not limited to:

  • Perform environmental and personnel monitoring within Poseida's cleanroom areas including plating of surfaces, viable air sampling, and non-viable particulate sampling
  • Coordinate in-process environmental monitoring with Manufacturing and QA to support the Manufacturing schedule
  • Perform microbiological lab assays including microbial enumeration, sub-culture and gram staining of bacterial colonies, growth promotion testing, and QC studies
  • Perform microbiological testing of raw material, in-process and final product in accordance with relevant GMP/GLP Practices including bioburden testing and endotoxin testing
  • Learn to effectively utilize quality systems procedures such as Deviation, OOS, and CAPA
  • Assist with data trending, and supporting Quality metrics as needed
  • Align daily actions with department goals and company culture
Requirements

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related discipline with 1+ years of relevant laboratory experience (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Demonstrated ability to gown to appropriate standards for work within ISO classified areas, including strong aseptic technique and excellent cleanroom behavior
  • Demonstrated ability to perform testing in a highly accurate and reproducible manner
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines, and as a team member
  • Requires some flexibility of work schedule to accommodate the support of Pilot Plant Manufacturing activities, which may include some weekend work
  • Experience working in a lab-based environment and familiarity in handling biohazardous materials or samples is preferred
  • Must be physically capable to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • The position requires a combination of walking, standing or sitting in a cleanroom manufacturing environment as well as QC laboratory environment
  • Experience supporting cGMP manufacturing facilities a plus


QC Analyst Pay Rate: $26.92 to $31.25/hour

The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience with the industry, education, geographic location, etc.
