Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer supports the production and industrialization of capital equipment by improving manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production readiness. This role partners closely with design engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes that meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and transition of capital equipment from design to manufacturing
  • Develop, review, and maintain work instructions, routings, bills of material, and manufacturing documentation
  • Identify and implement process improvements to improve quality, throughput, ergonomics, and cost
  • Provide day-to-day shop floor engineering support to resolve manufacturing, quality, and yield issues
  • Collaborate with product engineering and production teams to support material cost reduction targets and lead time improvement goals through DFM and DFA processes
  • Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
  • Design or specify tooling, fixtures, and test equipment to support efficient assembly and test processes
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to support component sourcing and manufacturability
  • Support ERP accuracy, production data analysis, and basic KPI tracking
  • Train and support production technicians on new processes, tools, and standard work.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of capital equipment manufacturing processes and electromechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a capital equipment, automation, or electromechanical manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience supporting production activities on the shop floor
  • Experience in ISObased or regulated manufacturing environments preferred
