The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and plant utility systems across all departments.
SIGN ON BONUS OF 1,000$.
You will need the availability to work 2nd or 3<sup>rd</sup> shift, pending on seniority/ business needs at the moment.
Shift: 2ND SHIFT, Monday- Friday 3PM -11 PM
Shift :3<sup>rd</sup> SHIFT- Sunday- Thursday- 11 PM- 7 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on belts, piping, filters, mixers, conveyors, valves, bearings, and seals
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to resolve and prevent issues
- Maintain and repair pumps, motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics, and production equipment
- Install and service control devices, sensors, and motor control systems
- Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred) and 480V 3-phase electrical systems
- Read and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of mechanical maintenance or skilled trades experience
- Must be 18 years of age, High school diploma or GED required
- Vocational/ Trade school equates 2 years of work/ field experience for this role
- Strong mechanical and electrical background
- PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley preferred)
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read technical drawings and work independently
- Basic computer skills; CMMS experience a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
