We are seeking a detail-oriented and accountable Inventory Specialist to support inventory control, government property management, and logistics activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this critical role, you will help ensure material accuracy, compliance, and operational readiness across multiple programs. What You’ll Do Inventory & Material Control
Maintain accurate inventory records across all programs, warehouses, and storage locations.
Perform cycle counts and full physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Ensure proper labeling, traceability, storage, and material handling.
Monitor inventory levels to support program schedules and material readiness.
Government Property (GFP) Management
Track, manage, and safeguard GFP in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate property records and documentation that remain audit-ready.
Support FAR/DFARS compliance, including FAR 52.245-1, and assist during audits and property reviews.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to maintain compliant and purposeful property management practices.
Receiving & Issuing
Process incoming materials quickly and accurately.
Issue materials with full traceability and proper documentation.
Handle sensitive or controlled materials with structured, compliant processes.
Perform visual inspections and ensure proper routing of materials.
Logistics Support
Assist with packaging, labeling, documentation, and preparation of outbound shipments.
Support urgent or high-priority material movements.
Coordinate with carriers, freight providers, and internal teams to ensure efficient, compliant logistics.
Maintain organized receiving and shipping areas designed for safety, clarity, and purpose.
Systems & Reporting
Use ERP systems (Costpoint preferred) to manage inventory movements and documentation that support accurate, confident operations.
Generate inventory, shortage, and material status reports.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing workflow, accuracy, and traceability.
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in inventory, material management, warehousing, or related supply chain functions.
Experience with ERP systems (Costpoint preferred).
Experience with Government Furnished Property (GFP).
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in industrial environments.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation discipline.
Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, logistics, and quality teams.
Knowledge of FAR/DFARS government property requirements.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Background in aerospace, defense, or government contracting.
Audit or compliance experience (internal, external, or government).
Exposure to logistics, shipping/receiving, or transportation operations.
Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience
Must be able to qualify for and maintain a Security Clearance
