JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a technical or maintenance role, preferably in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
* Strong technical skills.
* Knowledge of food processing and manufacturing technology.
* Basic knowledge of maintenance technologies and operation of utilities.
* Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic engineering (OSH&R).
* Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written, verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
* Knowledge of Asset and Maintenance Management (AMM) and Industrial Services and Energy Management (NEMT).
* Ability to troubleshoot complex systems/problems.
* Ability to report to work promptly and regularly, work under the supervision of others, at times under stressful conditions, work within deadlines, and be able to work professionally with others at all times and in all situations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Must have the ability to maneuver around an array of equipment. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders and/or stairs.
* Will have some exposure to fumes and airborne particles.
* Must be able to work in a cold and wet environment.
WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
* Ability to work various shifts as needed
