R&D Lab Technician (Part-Time)
Location: Wilmington, NC
Pay: $21.00-$24.00/hour
Schedule: ~25 hours/week
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented R&D Lab Technician to support polyol research, chemical testing, and product development in a dynamic laboratory environment. This role works closely with R&D leadership to execute experiments, analyze results, and maintain accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute experimental protocols including polyol synthesis and physical property testing
- Perform analytical testing using instrumentation such as FTIR, NIR, GC, GCMS, and LC
- Record and maintain accurate lab data, notebooks, and documentation
- Support R&D projects through material preparation and lab coordination
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments
- Assist with lab safety, compliance checks, and PPE adherence
- Manage lab supplies and inventory to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related scientific field
- Experience with analytical instrumentation and lab testing methods
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced lab environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols
