The role involves observing, measuring, and recording clinical data, which is crucial for other health practitioners to make informed health care decisions.
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Identify health problems or changes in a patient's health status and assess the need for immediate intervention.
- Report any health problems or changes in a timely manner to a Registered Nurse (RN) or directing practitioner.
- Work under the supervision of an RN or another licensed practitioner, as independent action to address health problems or changes is not permitted.
- Perform tasks within the scope of personal competence and under appropriate supervision.
