Plan, direct and monitor technical aspects of water pump stations and pipeline design projects, sewer collection system design, and wastewater treatment plant design.
Work in a Team Environment to accomplish complex tasks and project deliverables
Take responsibility for performing complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
- Be involved with client relationships with specific focus on relaying HDR's water and wastewater credentials
- Function as technical specialist, deputy project manager and/or project manager on mid-size projects as needed
- Ability to supervise small staff of professionals and technicians as needed
- Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures and for the execution of training for personnel as established
- Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Assist in permitting efforts associated with design projects
- Perform other duties as needed
Civil 3D CAD and/or BIM experience
- A minimum of 3-years experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
- Previous experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
