About KARL STORZ

We design specialty innovations, smart instruments and devices, integrated ecosystems, and intelligent imaging-to build a more connected, software-enabled operating room.

As an independent, family-owned MedTech company, we ambitiously think in generations instead of quarters to improve patients' lives around the world.

About the Role

Step into a leadership role where operational excellence meets continuous improvement. As a Logistics Center Product Evaluation Lead, you will serve as a hands-on team leader responsible for driving daily workflow, ensuring quality standards, and supporting team performance within our Product Evaluation department.

Partnering closely with the Supervisor, you will lead by example-actively participating in departmental tasks while guiding associates, prioritizing workloads, and championing Lean initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about developing people, improving processes, and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Work Environment: On-site, fast-paced logistics/warehouse setting

What You'll Do
  • Lead daily operations by prioritizing workflow, monitoring SLAs, and ensuring efficient, high-quality output across the Product Evaluation team
  • Perform hands-on evaluation, inspection, and troubleshooting of medical and electro-mechanical equipment
  • Support team performance through coaching, training, onboarding, and acting as a subject matter expert
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, VOC, audits) to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service levels
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, quality, and business partners to resolve issues, manage discrepancies, and improve processes
  • Serve as backup to the Supervisor, assisting with work allocation, reporting, and team coordination
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • A team-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Prior team lead or supervisory experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SAP, WMS, or similar systems
  • Background in inspecting, assembling, or troubleshooting medical or technical equipment
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to interpret technical documentation
What Will Make You Successful
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance with established processes and standards
  • Ability to balance hands-on work with leadership responsibilities and changing priorities
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving efficiency and enhancing team performance
