Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Food & Beverage Engineering team as an Experienced Electrical Engineer. Typical work will be as an individual or a team working on manufacturing capital improvement projects of varying size directly for Food and Beverage clients. Some travel will be required.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing low and medium voltage power systems (Including Motor Control Centers, Back-Up Generators and UPS systems)
- Designing lighting and associated control systems for manufacturing, industrial and general commercial spaces
- Designing fire alarm and mass notification systems
- Preparing plans and specifications for bidding and construction
- Performing periodic construction site visits
- Mentoring less experienced staff
- Some travel is required
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university
- At least 6 years of relevant experience
- PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
- Experience with 3D building modeling (Revit preferred)
- Experience with lighting design software (AGI32 preferred)
- Experiences with Power design software (SKM Power Tools and/or EasyPower preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Ability to prepare construction documents
- Experience coordinating engineering documentation
- Knowledge of codes, statutes, and laws related to building design and construction

Salary Range: $110-$125k (annual) - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
