Job: Stockroom Supervisor

Job Summary: The Stockroom Supervisor has responsibility to supervise, develop, and support systems related to work in the Stockroom Department. This includes processing new or used garment inventories, ensuring that proper documentation and processes are being followed in the department. Performs other duties as required and reports to the Stockroom Manager or General Manager.

Essential Functions:

- Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures for stockroom

- Train employees in all inventory control processes according to SOP and update processes if required

- Coordinate daily department stand up meetings

-Leads, trains, coaches and supervises the entire stockroom staff; areas include production, embroidery, and vendor ordering ( WEI)

- Monitor and justify garment orders, stock levels, withdrawals and invoicing, physical inventories of stock.

- Review & Analyze daily pull results, and provide opportunities to manager to increase pull percentages

- Verify stockroom records, reports or orders, conduct audits of garment orders for accuracy. Identify missed opportunities.

- Conduct routine inventory audits, cycle counts and ensure consistency and accuracy. Identify operational problems in inventory.

- Develop production standards, and people needs analysis to maximize efficiencies, increase throughput and manage labor costs expenses.

- Responsible for overseeing all new hire training and conduct regular and ongoing training in all departments

- Create and foster a team culture of continuous improvement, using 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.

- Continuously evaluate processes to eliminate waste.

- Responsible for execution of overall Alsco company policies and procedures.

-Responsible for setting, monitoring, and ensuring that standards for production, quality, housekeeping and safety are met.

- Prepare and maintain daily reporting, file & track as needed.

-Follow written and verbal instructions, attend meetings and perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.

Additional Functions: -Work with and support other branch personnel as required by supervisor.

Requirements

Qualifications:

-Have a minimum of two years of business management experience in a production environment with strong supervisory and management skills. Included in that experience should be some inventory control, receiving, storage, replenishment, and disposition.

-Good organizational skills and excellent troubleshooting skills and problem solving.

-Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.

-Good verbal and written communication skills in English, ability to comprehend and follow direction, as well as good time management skills and being a team player.

-Recognize colors, sizes and types of product and count, add and subtract accurately.

Education: High School graduation or similar experience.

Travel Requirements: Occasionally, to visit customers or possibly to attend training meetings.

Typical Environmental Conditions: Production areas of a warehouse facility which includes variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint and dust.

Physical Requirements: Physical Demands/Requirements during shift - standing, sitting, walking, stooping, grasping, lifting, pushing, pulling, moving loaded carts weighting several hundred pounds.
