The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time faculty person at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor to serve as Section Chief of the Division of Clinical Genetics, one of the largest and oldest clinical programs in Reproductive Genetics in the country. Clinical responsibilities include both consultation with and oversight of genetic counselors and genetic medical care for preconception, pregnant and adult individuals. Candidates with joint MFM/Genetics certification would also participate in the care of patients with high-risk pregnancies, cover Labor and Delivery, and perform and interpret ultrasounds. We also collaborate with Lurie Children's Hospital in the Chicago Institute for Fetal Health, a joint pediatric surgery-MFM program devoted to fetal therapy.

Teaching responsibilities will include involvement in student, resident, and fellow education; we are a major teaching site for the Northwestern University Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling. We seek candidates with an established track record in research or other academic pathways. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualified candidates will have completed a medical genetics residency or fellowship and be board certified in medical genetics. Candidates who have completed a joint Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) and medical genetics or joint Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) and medical genetics program will be seriously considered.
