Job Description
The Human Resources (HR) Intern is responsible for supporting HR-related duties in a professional manner working closely with the HR team, Managers, and employees.  The HR Intern will assist with recruiting, HR administration, benefits, payroll and training.  This internship is a great opportunity to experience various aspects of human resources while working for a well-known global industrial company.  The HR Intern reports to the Director of Human Resources.

JOB FUNCTIONS
Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
  • Assist with recruiting operations which includes posting requisitions to job boards and other media sources; preliminary screening applications, phone interviews, scheduling on-site interviews, and maintaining recruiting systems and reports.
  • Shadow HR staff in various activities to include HR system administration, payroll and benefits.
  • Provide administrative support which includes, but is not limited to:  filing, scanning, preparing employee packets, and covering the reception desk as needed.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as assigned by the HR team.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Management or related field.
  • Familiarity with HR technology; UltiPro experience a plus.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multitask and prioritize demands.

VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Human Resources experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with recruiting operations.
  • HR software knowledge a plus.
  • Previous internship experience in Human Resources is a plus.
