Our IS4S Huntsville / Auburn, Alabama locations are seeking to hire an experienced Senior Test Engineer/Lead to support a variety of government-funded projects related to open architecture, open systems, autonomy, communication, electronic warfare, and advanced navigation technologies. We are looking for a candidate who is a self-starter, a collaborative leader and open to finding new ways to solve challenging technical problems. We are especially focused on developing modular open systems that enable rapid prototyping and deployment of real-world systems.

Job Description:
This job requires the applicant to:
- Develop and coordinate the overall test strategy, approach and planning for one or more projects
- Lead Developmental / Engineering Functional Testing
- Coordinate activities of test engineers working on projects
- Interact with government and commercial customers
- Coordinate test activities of subcontractors
- Develop test plans and test procedures, monitor execution, and produce test reports
- Lead the testing of prototype communication, Position Navigation Timing (PNT), and/or Electronic Warfare (EW) systems in operationally relevant test environments
- Make meaningful contributions in a professional work environment
- Work closely with a highly collaborative team of engineers to deliver innovative prototype solutions
- Strong desire to contribute to overall team success
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Ability to work closely with a small, agile development team in a collaborative environment
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related fields
- Minimum of 20 years engineering experience (including post-graduate education)
- Minimum of 10 years of test engineering experience (government-related projects preferred)
- Experience with testing of software intensive aircraft systems or avionics
- Overcoming gaps, risks, and challenges to demonstrate and mature emerging technologies
- Experience with government contracting processes
Desired Experience:
- Proven ability to innovate out of the box solutions - a proponent of change and collaboration
- Experience in developing prototype communication, EW, or PNT systems in operationally relevant test environments
- Experience with PNT and/or autonomous systems
- Business intelligence
