Job Description

Danfoss in Tallahassee, FL is searching for a Laboratory Intern to work in the Application Development Center (ADC). This intern will support Application Development Center activities via student-focusedassignments. Job tasks are estimated to be about 60% desk-based work and 40% lab work.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Study Industry-Test-Standards
  • Shadow ADC test engineers
  • Generate UUT (Unit Under Test) check-in reports
  • Assist with UUT instrumentation
  • Create Process & Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Generate standard test reports via captured test data

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications.

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineeringwith coursework focused on Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Fluid Mechanics
  • Availability to work part-time, preferably 16-20 hours per week.
  • Safety awareness
  • Proactive Team player with positive can-do-attitude
  • Good communications skills (written and oral)
  • Attention-to-detail
  • Self-Starter - seeks out new assignment when work is completed
  • Asks pertinent questions
  • Ability to multitask
  • Candidates must be located within 50 miles of the work location
