Position Summary:

The New Goods Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Buyer. This role deals with data maintenance and composes well-organized spreadsheet reporting systems. This position's work permits timely reference and reporting, aiding the team in the effective analysis, planning, and buying of new goods.

Day in the life: In a typical day, the New Goods Coordinator can expect to...

  • Vendor Data Management: Partner with department to gather and coordinate information from external vendors.
  • Vendor Invoices: Collect and process vendor invoices.
  • Vendor Order Management: Facilitate the timely shipping from vendors of merchandise and subsequent arrival to stores.
  • Merchandise Planning: Plan and forecast for future buys, reoccurring buys, and current inventory levels.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Manage communication and workflow with Transportation

Job Pay & Perks:

  • Typical starting pay range: $22.00 to $28.00 / hour

    Required Knowledge & Skills:

    • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, employees, and customers
    • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications.
    • Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Excel.
    • Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with ability to prioritize.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
    • Ability and desire to provide excellent internal and external customer service.
    • Ability to interact with a diverse population in a human-services setting.

    • Proven data entry skills.
    • Flexible work schedule.

    Prior Experience & Education:

    • Applicable administrative or leadership experience in a retail setting strongly preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
