OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced attorney to partner with Microsoft's Carbon Dioxide Removal team in the role of Senior Corporate Counsel, Carbon Removal and Business Development. Save The legal team supporting the Cloud Operations + Innovation division has an immediate opening for an attorney to support Microsoft's Carbon Dioxide Removal program. This is a unique opportunity for an attorney to help Microsoft's Carbon Dioxide Removal program reach its ambitious goals. The Carbon Dioxide Removal Program is a critical team working toward Microsoft's sustainability goals, see https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/sustainability. This is a unique role for an attorney to work on cutting edge innovative climate technology and nature-based transactions. ResponsibilitiesStructuring, drafting, and negotiating complex agreements to support Microsoft's Carbon Dioxide Removal team.Identifying and resolving business and legal risks, advising on regulatory matters, and providing input on proposals for regulatory evolutions related to carbon dioxide removal.Handling day-to-day legal issues in support of the carbon dioxide removal program's objectives and growth and managing outside counsel. Collaborating with team members within and across organizational boundaries, including business partners, lawyers, legal specialists, government affairs, and PR professionals.Exercising independent judgment on legal matters to counsel middle and senior management business partners.Supporting the creation of new partnerships and business models to support a dynamic and growing practice group.Embody our culture and values
