Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

This position carries out the procedures for moving hot parts through the bump straightening operation

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Operation of the bump straighteners for straightening steel shapes and hollows and recording operations
  • Ability to determine where to hit parts that are outside of the straightness tolerance in order to make them straight
  • Responsible for loading and unloading furnaces to support the bump straightening process
  • Use standard tolerances to determine tolerances to straightness that are dependent on length
  • Measure the straightness of parts
  • Responsible for reading and documenting completion
  • Operate overhead bridge cranes and jib cranes
  • Operator forklift and side loader.
  • Ability to work with external and internal customers.
  • Ability to read and react to verbal and non-verbal communication while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.
, Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-5 years' Experience in metals manufacturing
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills (written, verbal and non- verbal), ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Must work well in a team environment and commit to continuous improvement.
