The Certified Genetic Counselor I works within a team setting to provide genetic counseling services, education and support to patients and families, and serve as a reference to staff as appropriate. In collaboration with other genetic counselors, they will review family histories and determine eligibility for genetic testing to assess patients risk for a variety of inherited conditions; and provide patients and families with support in making decisions based on genetic test results.

EDUCATION: |
