Responsibilities include recording and reporting the configuration data for shipboard systems and equipment. Configuration data consists of engineering drawings, locations, provisioning, technical manuals and changes. Candidates need to have knowledge of how to break down equipment to the lowest repairable unit and will be required to review engineering and purchasing data in order to establish and maintain a configuration item (CI) listing of equipment on a hull by hull basis. The candidate will support and process program design manufacturing and change management product information using an internal database as well as other tools. Will also analyze and review all released engineering drawings and change data to coordinate changes with the ILS department. The CSA Coordinator will also attend Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings and will ensure that customer changes are implemented and reviewed for change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration policies.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in data management, in addition to having strong analytical, critical thinking, communication and organization skills. Must be proficient in using MS Office applications (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint) and able to work in a fast paced environment. Candidate must also be knowledgeable in having at least 3 of the following 6 items to be qualified:
