Position Summary:

Milacron is looking for an Assembly Lead to join our team in Batavia, OH. As an Assembly Lead you will be responsible for leading hourly employees in a manufacturing environment, planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.

Work You'll Do:

  • Ensure effective employee relations, provide employee coaching and development, track absenteeism and timekeeping, and resolve employee issues through problem resolution
  • Maintain day to day responsibilities of work scheduling, quality, and interfacing with other supervisors and managers as needed to meet the production schedule
  • Ensure that Lean principles are being applied to sustainably maximize the delivery of value to the customer
  • Use multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at business decisions
  • Create platforms to drive optimization and continuously improve core areas of quality, safety, delivery, cost, and employee engagement
  • Identifies and directs implementation of improvement opportunities by securing relevant information, asking effective questions, and developing solutions
  • Resolve problems relating to materials, operations, quality or other factors that may result in production delays
  • Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager
  • Other duties may be assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 4+ years of relative experience in leading others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, or related field
  • Demonstrated Leadership, Business and Financial understanding
  • Computer, Communication, and presentation skills
  • Lean Manufacturing background within a plant and operational managerial experience from a production/manufacturing setting
  • Working experience in a manufacturing or warehousing/supply chain/inventory environment
