LFS, Inc. was established in 1967 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Our corporate headquarters is in Bellingham, WA and we have three year-round locations in Washington State: Bellingham, Seattle, and Poulsbo. LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and three seasonal locations in Kenai, Dillingham and Naknek. While our core business is supplying the commercial fishing industry, we have evolved to include industrial and sports netting sales, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial sales, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and internet sales.

Job Summary: Production workers needed to build netting systems for a variety of sports and industrial applications. The job involves working in a team setting in the assembly of custom barrier nets using the basic components of netting, rope, and twine.

Essential Functions:

1. Assembles netting components per net plan specifications.
2. Utilize job specific hand tools.
3. Measuring, knot tying, cutting, rope splicing, and lacing netting materials.
4. Basic math skills needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

This job does not include housing or relocation assistance.

Entry level starting wage is $18 per hour.

Intermediate wage range: $19-$20

Experienced wage range: $22

Minimum Qualifications:

Background check and drug screen required upon job offer.

Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand (8 hours a day); walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision and depth perception.
