The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Billing and A/R, this position will be responsible for a variety of Accounts Receivable duties such as ensuring that cash is applied in an accurate and timely manner, tracking aged receivables and evaluation of customer reserves and write-offs. As a valued member of the Accounting department, this person will communicate regularly with the Commercial and Billing departments and customers for the purpose or review and collection of receivables. This role is critical to the realization of the Company's revenue intake.

  • You will enjoy wide exposure to the Billing, Contracts, Commercial, Treasury and Finance, as well as to our multi-state operations that stretch from Texas, Wyoming, Montana, Washington to Hawaii

Key activities include:

Ensure that incoming cash is applied in a timely and accurate manner

  • Process payment runs to draft eligible customers
  • Track, review and analyze A/R agings, determine trends, support customer follow up and collection attempts
  • Respond to customer inquiries about invoices or drafts
  • Prepare credit references for customers
  • Ensure compliance with the established Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) guidelines and procedures
  • Respond to internal and external audit requests with files information or reports
  • Generate and create A/R reports for Financial Reporting, Margin and Tax groups
  • Push process improvement through reporting and system changes
  • Monitor of customer accounts, that application of cash to customer accounts and the collection of outstanding receipts
  • Interact and support Commercial, Billing, Contracts, Accounting, Accounts Payable and Treasury
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by Management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for theBilling Senior Analystopportunity, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business OR 2+ years of relevant accounts receivable or shared service experience required
  • Knowledge of industry terminology is preferred
  • Understanding of industry contract language is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, including complex/compound spreadsheets
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Blackline CASH experience a plus
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written required
