Shockwave Medical, Inc. is a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Shockwave Medical aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

Position Overview:

As the Senior Director of Technical Delivery, you will lead the strategic and operational management of our Enterprise Applications technology. This role will be responsible for all horizontal engineering services, including Development, QA, DevOps, Enterprise Architecture, Integration Engineering, and Platform Resilience. This role is critical in supporting our mission by ensuring that our technology is robust, scalable, and aligned with our company's growth objectives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise applications, including Development, Integrations, Enterprise Architecture, and IT Quality.

  • Collaborate with IT Leaders and business stakeholders across all functions, including Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Quality, to ensure technology platforms align with business goals.

  • Manage and grow a team of technologists, including Oracle developers, Salesforce developers, and integration developers, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and accountability.

  • Help develop and staff the QA, DevOps, and Enterprise Architecture functions to support the IT Application organization.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain high standards for IT security and data privacy.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders to optimize technology solutions.

  • Strategically and operationally own the QA & DevOps functions, building best-in-class practices to ensure timely and quality deliverables.

  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of existing IT systems and infrastructure, recommending improvements or upgrades as necessary.

  • Develop and provide strategy, vision, and direction to multiple functions. Implement company-wide policies and practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • 12+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, building and leading high-performing teams at a fast-growing technology company.

  • Experience leading engineering teams using industry-standard practices, including IT Service Management, QA, DevOps, Continuous Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, and Agile Software Delivery.

  • Proven strong technical leadership in operating, reliably, and maintaining SaaS applications in the cloud, such as Oracle Fusion, Salesforce.com, Dell Boomi, and Workato.

  • Ability to lead and manage large-scale IT projects and initiatives.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of effective stakeholder management.

  • Strategic thinker with a robust analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing technology landscapes and business needs.

  • Ability to mentor and develop staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • Experience working in FDA-regulated environments is a plus.

Market Range: $185,000 - $273,000
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
