Exercise Planner

The Opportunity:

Critical decisions are made every single day in our military command. What if you could use your analytical skills to help them make informed decisions? With all the information available today, it takes a skilled analyst to know how to find and interpret the best data to give clients the right answers. As an Army intelligence exercise planner, you will use your specialized planning and regional experience and your attention to detail to develop tailored solutions to give your clients the actionable intelligence and context they need. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity for you to use those skills to support the Army.

As an intelligence planner on our team, you'll help your client understand the operational environment. Using your comprehensive understanding of various collection platforms, you'll explore new data sources, build effective queries, and combine information from disparate sources and intelligence warfighting functions. You'll validate information and develop tradecraft as you build assessments for warfighters. As the authority on your portfolio, your client will look to you for time-critical recommendations, often under pressure. This is a chance to grow your expertise and broaden your skillset into areas like intelligence forces allocation, scenario scripting, and regional expertise in the Pacific region. You'll share your expertise with other analysts through leadership and mentoring. You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with intelligence at the Joint, MACOM or ASCC, Corps, or theater staff level
  • Knowledge of Joint, Corps, and Theater ISR assets, capabilities, and tasking and employment
  • Knowledge of Adaptive and Deliberate Planning Processes in headquarters staff Operational Planning Teams
  • Knowledge of Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) processes and command post exercises (CPX) scenario design
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with intelligence in the USPACOM area of operations
  • Knowledge of multi-domain battle and cross-domain fires concepts
  • Knowledge of CJCSM 3500.02E or The Joint Training Manual
  • Ability to brief senior military and civilians on intelligence and exercise topics
  • Post-secondary graduate of an Advanced Military Studies Program (AMSP) of the Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) or a service Command and General Staff College level professional military education

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
