JOB OVERVIEW:

The Powered Industrial Lift Operator operates a forklift and is responsible for movement, storage, documentation, and inventory of incoming and outgoing product. Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), policies, and safety procedures will be required in every aspect of this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely and efficiently operate a lift truck in a high pace environment.
  • Performs the movement, storage, and documentation of incoming materials and outgoing product.
  • Safely and efficiently load and offload flatbed trailers of wood field boxes; stack field boxes 4-high.
  • Maintain lift truck operator certification.
  • Uses SAP system and scanning equipment for inventory counts and record inventory transactions.
  • May perform general laborer and sanitation work as needed.
  • Completes various documents and reports including but not limited to daily lift inspections, checklists, battery inspections, and damage reports for affected equipment, product, or facilities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by manager, supervisor/team lead, or department lead.

WHAT YOU NEED

*Minimum qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Work overtime; occasionally flex hours
  • OSHA Forklift Certification
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders and catwalks
  • Ability to lift minimum of 50lbs
  • At least 1-year industrial lift operating experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a standard manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions. You may be required to occasionally climb stairs and/or ladders.
