Evoke is seeking a Telecommunications Mobility Specialist to join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Telecommunications Infrastructure Design: Lead the design and development of telecommunications networks, including voice, data, video, and wireless communication systems. Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the infrastructure.
  • Network Optimization: Analyze network performance data, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency, minimize downtime, and improve user experience.
  • Technology Research and Evaluation: Stay updated with the latest telecommunications technologies and trends. Evaluate new equipment, tools, and protocols to recommend improvements and cost-effective solutions.
  • Project Management: Take ownership of complex telecommunications projects from initiation to completion. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and successful implementation.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex telecommunications issues. Work closely with the support team to ensure prompt and effective problem resolution.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all telecommunications systems and processes comply with industry regulations, security standards, and legal requirements.
  • Training and Mentoring: Share your expertise and knowledge with junior team members. Conduct training sessions to empower the team and facilitate skill development.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors like Iron Bow and Verizon and other service providers to negotiate contracts, assess performance, and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous testing and validation processes to ensure the reliability and accuracy of telecommunications systems.

Professional Experience and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including VoIP, MPLS, SD-WAN, LTE, 5G, etc.
  • Proficiency in network analysis tools, performance monitoring, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Education and Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications engineering with a focus on network design and implementation.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are desirable.

Security Clearance

  • Applicants selected must be eligible to work in the United States, be subject to a government security investigation, and meet eligibility requirements for access to protected information.

Work Location

  • Washington, DC (100% on-site)
