Description

Willing to consider other methods of Radiographic Testing to obtain Computed Radiography qualifications.

JOB SUMMARY:

Prepares and processes parts through a Computed Radiography Inspection system, including final evaluation, makes accept/reject decisions, and completes documentation of results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works from and interprets fairly complicated sketches, routings, product specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Follows established procedures to verify specified dimensions of product or material using a variety of standard inspection tools.
  • Creates work instructions and makes recommendations for process improvements.
  • Sets up, standardizes, and calibrates Computed Radiography equipment.
  • Performs system performance checks in accordance with quality work instructions.
  • Prepares and processes parts through a Computed Radiography Inspection system, including final evaluation, makes accept/reject decisions, and completes documentation of results, in accordance with work instructions.
  • Successfully completes Level 2 certification examinations in accordance with Ace Precision's requirements.
  • In coordination with the Maintenance Department, performs preventive maintenance on Computed Radiography equipment.
  • Proceeds under general supervision of a Level 3 Computed Radiography Inspector.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and conformity with Ace Precision Quality System work instruction requirements that govern Computed Radiography Inspection operations.
  • Maintains or exceeds production standards through efficient organization and planning.
  • Follows and complies with safety policies and procedures.
  • Accurately completes all required documentation.
  • Meets attendance policy requirements.
  • Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires 1,600 hours of documented Computed Radiography Inspection work experience. Willing to consider other methods of experience to obtain CR qualifications. Basic working knowledge of computers is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read English, and interpret sketches, routings, product specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with employees and other Company stakeholders.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals and fractions.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Requires judgment to plan and perform work, and make decisions as to the sequence of processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
