Under the supervision of the Director and Educational Administrator, the Admissions Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the admissions process for prospective students. The admissions Coordinator serves as a member of the Admissions Committee along with the Educational Administrator and the Director; communicating with outside providers and seeking additional information as needed. Under the supervision of the Director and Educational Administrator, the Admissions Coordinator coordinates meetings with families and prospective students, provides an overview of the school program, and provides visitors with a tour of the school, and serves as a liaison with referring school districts during the admissions process. They work closely with special education teachers, clinicians, and administrators to communicate student-related information and coordinate prospective student visits. Under the supervision of the Director and Educational Administrator, the Admissions Coordinator works closely with marketing and PR departments to develop school advertising. He or she helps to develop and maintain admissions materials, prospective student records, and performs other tasks as determined by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field


SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Critical thinking skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to interact positively and professionally with students, parents, and other professionals
High comfort level in working in a busy, psychiatric school setting
Professional telephone manner and ability to follow tasks through to completion
Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook preferred; however, willing to train the right individual
