Job Description

Position Summary

The Trust Service Support Team Lead will drive service excellence by leading a team of Trust Service Support Specialist individuals focused on achievement of various operational functions while maintaining appropriate levels of risk mitigation through adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations. This individual will provide operations support, acting as a liaison and resource for their team and Wealth Management leaders. This role will report to the Trust Operations Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as dedicated team leader for a designated team of Trust Service Support Specialist effectively managing associate performance and focus on developing efficient, engaged, well trained, and a high performing team.
  • Directly manage and coach team members in accordance with Busey policies and standards; responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, supporting associate onboarding, appraising by monitoring KPI and Scorecard reports, identifying training needs, and holding team members accountable.
  • Planning and structuring work within the team to capitalize on the knowledge held by each team member, drive opportunities to grow and develop associates in their roles at Busey; all while taking into consideration current projects, deadlines, and expectations.
  • Serve as an escalation point to resolve complex client or internal customer service issues, identify opportunities and make recommendation for continuous improvement to exceed business goals.
  • Act as a liaison between Market Leaders and Trust Service Support team members, working together to identify and implement solutions to increase efficiency and communicate changes in policies or procedures. Attend market meetings, and ensuring clear communication to the team to drive results.
  • Assist with integration of AddVantage upgrade/release items.
  • Lead and manage special projects, work to improve efficiency and process changes to support the Wealth Management Trust Operations Support Manager as needed, including items which require advanced understanding of trust systems.
  • Complete Wealth Management Trust Operation specialized functions requiring more complex problem solving abilities and advanced knowledge of trust accounting and processing functions.

Education & Experience

Knowledge of:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills to engage with the assigned team and moderate customer contact via multiple correspondence methods.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Accounting, data processing systems, and controls
  • Trust operating system, policies, and procedures

Ability to:

  • Multi-task and work independently
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information
  • Take more than normal care to prevent loss to the organization
  • Perform duties under frequent time pressures
