THE OPPORTUNITY

Michelin has an immediate opening in for a Digital Project Manager who will be responsible for piloting several digital projects and delivering digital solutions that meet customer needs. This opportunity is in our American Synthetic Rubber Company (ASRC) chemical plan in Louisville, KY. Situated on the outskirts of Louisville, KY along the Ohio River, American Synthetic Rubber Company has 80 years of rich history supplying our nation and Michelin with high quality synthetic rubber. WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Understanding of the customer's need and specifications.
  • Helping the sponsor choose the best solution (software package, development).
  • Defining the Methodology and framework of the project.
  • Preparing a Functional Specifications Document (FSD) and ensuring that the Groupe requirements for hosting, security and confidentiality of the data are respected
  • Defining and supervising the schedule.
  • Allocating and optimizing the needed human, financial and/or technical resources for the project.
  • Communicating and validating the key phase of the project with the sponsor.
  • Verifying that the solution is consistent with the specifications after implementation.
  • Helping develop strategy for the plant by defining the plant I4.0 roadmap and set plant practices (in particular in value stream mapping and in the progress plan; resources (central and local, budgets and full time equivalent) are allocated

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • BS Degree in Engineering or technical field, preferably one of the following: Mechanical, Electrical, Information Systems, Automation, Industrial, Data Analytics
  • Software and Systems experience: PowerBI Apps, O365, Python, SQL, PI OSISOFT, Oracle, Rockwell/Siemens automation processes.
  • Vision system experience (camera, infrared, laser, etc).
  • 10 yrs experience in automation and industry portal, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Effective change management skills, consistent track record of leading organization through digital change
  • Effective teammate, works well with diverse members of the Team
  • Attention to detail is essential, resource oriented and results driven.
  • Ability to understand and dissect sophisticated situations in order to problem solve.
  • Experience with Industry Internet of Things (IIOT)
