Job Description

The Research Assistant for the EdAssistConsulting Solutions Team is an Internship making sure that the information in team data repositories is current, organized, and accurate. They gather the data from client workforce education policies,databases, spreadsheets, and other documents and organize it in spreadsheets and document files. The Research Assistant will also need to request and collect data from consultants and other teammembers within the organization.This is a temporary role ranging from 12-16 weeks (flexible on minimum number of weeks). The Research Assistant role is also Part Time, with flexible hours ranging from 20-30 hours a week within Eastern Time business hours. This role is fully remote.

What you will be doing:

  • Part Time Internship, flexible days. 20-30 hours a week within Eastern Time business hours
  • Collectsdata from online databases, webpages, spreadsheets, and documents
  • Readsand interpretstechnical writingsuch as that found inpolicies and contracts
  • Communicatesclearly and professionally with subject matter experts and team leads
  • Entersand maintainsdata in spreadsheets, document matrices, Teams/SharePointfolder structures,and other digital storage solutions
  • Performsadministrative tasks such asrequesting and managingdata from a team of analyst/consultants

What we hope you will bring to this role:

  • Bachelor's DegreePreferred, Associate's Degreeor equivalent work experience required
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions for data collection
  • Ability to read and interpret technical writing (training will be provided)
  • Ability to find errors in documentation and bring those errors to the attention of a supervisor
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365programs including Microsoft Teams,SharePoint,Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and an interest in continued knowledge of technology as it evolves
  • Intermediate to advanced levels of Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Comfortwithperforming and completing tasks on timewithout close guidance or supervision
  • Evidence of excellent organization skills
  • Evidence of communication skills in verbal and written formats
  • Experience working with distance teams/work from home settings preferred

Compensation Range:

The hourly rate for this role is: $17 / hour
