Job Description
Crissair is looking for an Automation Engineer to improve manufacturing processes on our production floor.

Summary
An automation engineer is an engineering expert who improves various manufacturing processes and computer systems by automating specific parts to work independently and automatically. They revise existing technology, so it requires less human interaction, and they monitor the performance of the implemented changes.  
Skills and Responsibilities include the following.  Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.
Hard Skills:
•    Expert in computer programming languages (C#, Java, Python)
•    Understanding of mechanical systems and operations
•    Knowledge of robotics and robot programming
•    Knowledge of AI and machine learning applications
•    Systems Design and Engineering
•    Proficiency with automation tools (Selenium, Jenkins, Ansible)
Soft Skills:
•    Adaptability

•    Verbal and written communication 
Responsibilities:
•    Research, develop and install automation solutions for CNC machinery.
•    Create test automation frameworks and test sets.
•    Troubleshoot automation errors and bugs.
•    Collaborate with colleagues to identify areas for automation and optimization.
•    Produce and update documentation and review and edit code.

Safety Compliance:
•    Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines when working with automation equipment.
•    Implement safety protocols, risk assessments, and preventive measures to prevent accidents.
•    Conduct regular safety checks and maintain safety documentation.
Quality Control:
•    Monitor robotic equipment performance during production runs to maintain product quality.
•    Collaborate with quality control teams to identify and rectify any deviations or defects.
•    Adjust automation equipment parameters as needed to meet quality standards.
•    Train machine operators and production staff on automation equipment operation, safety procedures, and best practices.
•    Provide technical support and guidance to resolve automation equipment related issues.
•    Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Safety Awareness:
•    Knowledge of safety protocols and risk assessment for automation equipment. 
•    Understanding of safety features and emergency stop procedures.
•    Communication and Teamwork:
•    Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
•    Ability to work constructively with colleagues and adapt to changing production needs.

Qualification Requirements/Education/Experience

Prerequisites:

•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
•    Company-specific product or technical certifications, CAP (certified automation professional).

Qualifications:

•    On the job training 2 or more years in automation software or equipment maintenance
•    Ability to build and maintain automation processes.
•    Ability to perform software testing and troubleshooting.
•    Proficiency in programming and scripting languages.

Language Skills

•    Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
•    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  
•    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  
•    Ability to write in simple correspondence.  
Math Skills

•    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  
•    Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Computer/ Technical/Office Skills

•    Basic windows/internet browser
•    D365
•    Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power Point
•    Blueprint reading
•    Mechanical aptitude
