The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The graduate CS program is currently ranked 6th and the undergraduate 5th nationally by U.S. News and World Report. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. Job Summary

Develop and coordinate the implementation of programs designed to promote the Institute to target audiences of potential and enrolled students and other groups thereby encouraging their enrollment and retention at the Institute and/or a program within the Institute. Efforts include program needs assessment, concept definition, program development, marketing and evaluation. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: target group prospects and students, institutional and program administrators, Institute faculty and staff. Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Analyze outreach objectives and assess needs in the way of program components and resources.

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for the management of the NCWIT BridgeUP STEM program, which brings together a diverse community of Atlanta-area high school girls and non-binary individuals, who are interested in pursuing computing careers, with Georgia Tech College of Computing undergraduate mentors, research faculty, and graduate students.

The additional responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of BridgeUP STEM;
  • Partner with school districts, NCWIT and Constellations staff to recruit students to apply for the BridgeUP STEM program;
  • Coordinate with Georgia Tech faculty and students for potential collaborations;
  • Create status reports for distribution to leadership team and for use in status update meetings; and Maintain detailed budget and other documents related to expenditures (and appropriate budget adjustments) to ensure that the project is completed within budget;

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Weekends and evenings may be required for special events, dinners, football games, etc; some travel

Required Experience
Four to five years of job related experience

Ability to coordinate activities among diverse groups and stakeholders is preferred Fluency in a second language may be preferred

Proposed Salary

Pay Information:

Salary Range: $53,687.00 - $60,000.00

FLSA Status: Exempt

Schedule:

Monday - Friday; Hybrid

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires a working knowledge of marketing and educational outreach related program planning and design, especially as it relates to assigned target group of potential and/or enrolled students. Also required are skills in maintaining a detail orientation, organization, presentation, customer relations and communications.
