Head of Global Compensation

The Role

The Head of Global Compensation will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive compensation and reward strategies that align to organizational goals and ensure the attraction and retention of top talent. This role will play a key part in maintaining our competitive position in the industry by providing effective and attractive compensation and reward programs for our employees.

Here's What You'll Do

  • Lead the design, development, and administration of competitive and equitable compensation programs, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity. Compensation programs include and are not limited to executive compensation, sales compensation, incentive programs, equity administration, and regulatory filings.
  • Implement a comprehensive compensation strategy that supports FMC's business objectives and overall employee engagement strategy and monitor industry trends and benchmarks to ensure that FMC's offerings remain competitive and in line with best practices.
  • Collaborate with the HR Business Partner to develop and maintain effective communication strategies that educate and engage manager and employees about their total rewards package and its value.
  • Partner with the payroll and HR Operations teams to optimize data integrity, reporting and analytical capabilities.
  • Provide guidance and support to senior management and HR Business Partners on compensation-related matters, including job evaluation, salary structure, and incentive programs.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of existing compensation programs and technology processes making recommendations for enhancements or modifications as needed.
  • Stay abreast of changes in legislation and regulations related to compensation, regulatory filings, and technology, ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Lead a team of compensation professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster their professional development and ensure the effective execution of HR Initiatives.

Here's What You'll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years of progressive global experience in compensation management.

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive compensation programs, including job evaluation, salary structure design, and incentive plan development.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and metrics to make informed decisions and recommendations.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to compensation and regulatory filings, with a strong commitment to ensuring compliance within the organization.
  • Experience with cutting-edge SAP SuccessFactors (or equivalent e.g., Workday). Experience with HR services enabling technologies such as ServiceNow is a plus.
