Description

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking to hire a part-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our Specialty Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic (SPOC). You will provide a wide range of services to multidisciplinary teams with emphasis on outpatient practices serving our adult, geriatric, child, and adolescents populations. Primary duties include:

  • Provides age appropriate assessment and interventions
  • Providing clinical evaluations of new patients, assessing suitability for outpatient therapeutic care
  • Interpret individual patient/family psychosocial needs, strength, and preferences to the team through consultation
  • Formulating treatment plans based on assessment
  • Providing individual, couple, and/or group psychotherapy for patients
  • Document and enter patient information
  • Evaluating and referring patients for additional or alternative modes of care
  • Other duties as assigned
Salary range: $50.43/hr - $60.27/hr
Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work

Licensed Clinical Social worker in the State of California

Experience working with patients with significant mental health challenges including but not limited to eating disorders, trauma, alcohol/drug use disorders, and anxiety/depression

Experience and skill in interacting with professional healthcare providers in a multidisciplinary setting

Knowledge of clinical social worker ethics and scope of practice

Experience in documenting and charting to ensure current and accurate medical records

Ability to perform complete mental status exams

Ability to develop rapport and working therapeutic alliances with patients

Working knowledge or general theoretical and clinical models

Able to learn/master UCLA CareConnect software

Strong self-management and organizational skills to successfully meet job responsibilities

Excellent oral and written expression skills, especially in behaviorally specific treatment planning
