Job Summary



Information Technology Services (ITS) at the Maricopa Community College District is looking to add a proactive Technical Project Manager Associate to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team. This role coordinates the efforts of project teams in the planning and execution of IT and business projects to a successful conclusion. Using established processes, the Technical Project Manager monitors and tracks stakeholder priorities, coordinates resources, creates and maintains a variety of project documentation, removes project roadblocks, and keeps stakeholders informed of progress.

Essential Functions

50% - Facilitates and monitors multiple IT projects; coordinates the planning and execution of projects; creates, and maintains, and distributes appropriate project documentation including meeting notes, project plans, risk registers, dashboards, data collection tools, and other documents as needed; communicates project status and progress through electronic and in-person discussions.

20% - Serves as liaison between stakeholders and project team members; coordinates and monitors the planning and execution of project objectives, milestones, schedule and overall plan; plans and implements communication activities and timelines for assigned projects; resolves issues related to routine project tasks; works closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders to define project scope, strategy and outcomes; identifies critical resource expertise and targets appropriate internal and/or external sources to ensure optimal outcome(s); coordinates with vendor resources.

20% - Facilitates project meetings including scheduling, creating meeting agendas and notes, and ensures meetings run efficiently; uses judgment, tact, discretion, and initiative to bring resolution to roadblocks; understands when and the appropriate resource to escalate matters to; reports on project status, progress, metrics, risks, test results, and deployment activities; provides feedback and support to other project team members.

10% - Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in any field.

Or

Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in any field and two (2) years of experience as a project manager.

Or

High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years of experience as a project manager.

Desired Qualifications

A. Experience leading projects as a Project Manager
B. Experience managing Oracle ERP projects
C. Experience managing Emergency Systems projects
D. Experience using Google Sheets to create project documentation and dashboards
E. Possess current, related certification(s) from Scrum Alliance (or similar body) or the Project Management Institute (PMI) such as the CSM or PMP
F. Experience using JIRA to create project sites and dashboards


Special Working Conditions

A. This position can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.
B. MCCCD does not sponsor individuals for any type of work visas.
C. May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor
