SENIOR FINANCE ANALYST - BUFFALO PLANT

OVERVIEW:

The Senior Financial Analyst position at our Buffalo plant offers an exciting and differentiating opportunity to build your knowledge of Supply Chain! In this cross-functional role, you will gain many important experiences, including working on HMM and transformational initiatives, building and executing a financial plan, partnering with plant operations to support business results and the plant mission, building a strong controls environment, and analyzing metrics to provide business insights.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for the development, execution, and monitoring of the annual operating plan, periodic financial forecasts, and monthly financial close.
  • Monitoring financial performance and developing plans to close gaps to plant targets, including communication with applicable Business Units.
  • Supporting site delivery of annual HMM targets.
  • Provide support and leadership on cross-functional plant and corporate initiatives.
  • Opportunity to implement process improvements within finance and cross-functionally with our business partners
  • Engage in plant Zero Loss Culture programs to drive financial and safety performance improvements.
  • Ensure Effective Financial Controls, including Capital Controls
  • Maintaining the audit-ready status of internal controls through periodic review and self-audit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization (Partnership for Impact)
  • Highly motivated self-starter with attention to detail, able to establish a process, make process improvements, and effectively organize own work (Own a Significant Functional Process)
  • Ability to influence, develop, and motivate peers (Matrix Relationship Management)
  • Willingness to get outside of traditional financial roles to support plant operations
  • Able to identify and extract the right data from financial systems to provide meaningful analysis (Analytic Proficiency)
  • Proactive, with the ability to respond quickly and adjust to changes (Situational Agility)
  • Willingness to relocate

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters of Business Administration or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • SAP or Oracle experience preferred
  • Willingness to commit to 18-24 months in the role
  • Working knowledge of Finance systems (AFO, Hyperion, SAP)

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • This role is an onsite role, however Work with Heart considerations apply (Hybrid ~ 1-2 days remote possible)
  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

Salary Range



The salary range for this position is $77900.00 - $117000.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
