Job Summary:

We are currently seekingour newest innovator to join our dynamic team as a Content Operations & Partnerships Senior Manager for LG Channels on the North American Platform Content & Services Team!

Position Summary

LG Channels is a Free, Ad Supported streaming service available globally on LG Smart TVs. It is a top app on the LG webOS platform and continues to be a source of free entertainment for millions of viewers looking for News, TV Shows, Movies and more. The senior manager of content operations and partnerships for LG Channels will lead a team of experts to deliver our goal of creating the best FAST experience on webOS on LG Smart TVs.

This candidate must have a diverse background and a strong skillset in video content operations, advertising, new product ideation, and business development. The ideal candidate must have experience managing a team and possess coaching skills to empower direct reports, maximizing their contributions to the service. Collaboration and the ability to lead projects are necessary for this fast-growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of on-boarding and delivery of content, including streaming channels, live events, and on-demand assets, with an emphasis on process or product improvements. Formalizing SLAs, best practices, and proactive problem solving are necessary in this role
  • Be a driving contributor with product and programming teams on new product or operations initiatives, with the ultimate goal of improving engagement and retention within LG Channels
  • Serve as the main point of escalation for the content operations team
  • Support other senior managers and/or directors in technical business development or aligning on commercial terms with content partner distribution agreements
  • Communicate key data insights, product updates, and the state of the business to partners as part of partner engagement meetings
  • Oversee direct reports, fostering collaborative and high-performing work environment. Possess strong delegation skills to effectively assign tasks based on individual strengths and workload capacity.
  • Demonstrate expertise of industry trends and developments for content, advertising, and video to mentor other team members
  • Must be available to be in-office full time. Must be available ~1 night for weekly calls with HQ
  • Occasional travel required for industry events or partner meetings

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of media, content, advertising industry experience
  • Experience in FAST and/or streaming is highly recommended
  • Proven results delivering on projects spanning multiple teams (product, content acquisition, advertising, billing, and more.)
  • Advanced knowledge of analytics tools and services (ex. Conviva, Adobe, Google Analytics, Wurl, Amagi, etc.)
  • Existing relationships with digital and/or streaming content companies
  • Basic technical knowledge of video delivery and ad insertion
  • BA/BS required. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
