Technical Editor & Human Resources Coordination Assistant
Administrative Specialist I

HX5 is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our team in Alamogordo, New Mexico at Holloman Air Force Base in Support of Air Force Testing for the 846th Test Squadron.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review technical test documentation for content, organization, formatting and grammar to ensure compliance against standard technical writing guidelines.
  • Create, review, and maintain templates to current standards.
  • Interact with databases and database managers to enter and extract technical and financial data.
  • Coordinate 846 TS Human Resource functions with the 704 TG Human Resource office.
  • Track and follow up on 846 TS Human Resource actions at various Human Resource levels (Group, Wing, installation, etc.).
  • Establish 846 TS procedures, such as hiring package compilation / submission.
  • Prepare a variety of Human Resource documents for submission
  • Carry out administrative support tasks as requested which may include but are not limited to: writing and routing official memoranda, researching applicable policies and processes, receiving and escorting deliveries and customers, interacting with test team members and customers to obtain and disseminate information via telephone, email or face-to-face.
  • Familiarity with basic HR practices and procedures.
  • Must have ability to work within specific procedures and processes of the Air Force Test Center and DoD regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.
  • Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the 846 TS as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing the duties.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Experience reviewing technical documentation for content, organization, formatting and grammar to ensure compliance against standard technical writing guidelines.
  • Experience creating, reviewing, and maintaining templates.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Adobe Acrobat applications.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within six (6) months of start date.
  • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
