Job Description

Position Summary

The Client Service Associate is responsible for assisting the Financial Advisor and servicing clients with a full line of investment products, including mutual funds, annuities, equities, and fixed income securities in a financial planning setting.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist Busey Wealth Management in meeting the goals and objectives of the organization utilizing the Wealth Advisory program.
  • Communicate with clients in a positive manner, and make outbound calls to warm leads to schedule appointments
  • Prepare advisor with necessary paperwork prior to client appointments
  • Demonstrate an understanding that the Busey offers financial services and investments through Wealth Management
  • Maintain Client Relationship Management and reporting available on the system (CRM).
  • Strong computer and organization skills (mail merge, Raymond James System and Excel)
  • Process incoming correspondence, checks, mail, and email.
  • Respond to client correspondence and interact daily on the phone or in person with prospective and existing clients.
  • Prepare letters, forms, and reviews to assist with servicing existing clients and prospecting for new clients.
  • Handle financial operational issues that might occur with statements and transactions.
  • Review daily reports from Raymond James Financial Services and take necessary actions in a timely manner.
  • Forward all account information to Branch Manager for approval and processing

Education & Experience

Knowledge of:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills


Ability to:

  • Multi-task and work independently
  • Solve problems independently while applying logic and discretion
  • Perform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressures


Education and Training:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree or have related experience in this field.
  • Obtaining of Series 7 & 66 license preferred within 6 months of hire.
  • Computer skills adequate for working with investment software.
  • Must be in good standing with Regulatory and Firm Element continuing education.
  • Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office.
