Position description

The Foundations of Learning and Knowledge (FOLK) Lab at UC Santa Barbara (PI: Dr. Brandon Woo) is looking for a postdoctoral fellow beginning September 2024 or later. This position will involve designing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, writing papers, presenting findings, and mentoring more junior lab members. Additionally, the successful candidate will work with the PI on professional development activities (e.g., applying to grants and academic jobs).

The research can take place online (e.g., over video calls or Lookit), in person at the lab, and/or at local museums. Through this position, the successful candidate will be able to build and develop their own research program.

The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service as appropriate to the position.
