Job Summary

Define the best-in-class CCUS technologies and serve as the interconnection between Global Operations & Cement plant, the project manager and the Carbon Capture facility, in order to assure proper technology selection and integration between these the existing plant and the new CCUS assets.

Job Responsibilities
  • Review, evaluate and define technologies that will suit the best for our operations in terms of Capture, and Utilization, revisit the storage potential in the world for CO2.
  • Study CCUS technologies case by case and find the best-in-class solution for each specific project.
  • Define the technical barriers for CCUS technologies deployment, evaluate potential risk of integration and communicate with CCUS project responsible in each project.
  • Evaluate CO2 technologies for integration into the production process.
  • Review and define carbon utilization technologies emerging in the market.
  • Find the right CCUS technologies for each operation according to their geographical context.
  • Define the Cement Operation integration with CCUS technologies.
  • Define the new picture in terms of how a decarbonized operation should be.
  • Maintain & evolve an internal networking with CCUS teams, Sustainability, Vendors and Operations.
  • Achieve peers recognition in the field to be able to assess and discriminate technologies.
Qualifications
  • Engineering degree
  • 1-3 years experience in Chemical engineering, Carbon capture and or cement operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of PC programs: Word, Excel, Access
  • English proficiency
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work with standard office/computer equipment
  • Capable of working in an open concept office environment
Physical Requirements
  • Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
  • Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
