As a Software Engineer on the Echo Global Logistics team, you will contribute to engineering of large scale web-based applications to enable Echo's business while supporting architectural vision of quality, scalability, performance and function. Our proprietary software is created with the goal to simplify transportation for our customers and carriers, and is one of our largest competitive advantages in an ever growing market.

We are currently expanding our Integration API Team and seeking a talented Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and optimization of API integrations. Responsibilities:

Software Engineers work in conjunction with Senior Engineers, Business Analysts, and Business Owners

  • Design, develop, and implement API integrations to connect various systems and applications with our external trading partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Producing high quality code and addressing technical debt.
  • Write clean, maintainable code in languages such as Python or C# to build and enhance integration solutions.
  • Implement best practices for code versioning, testing, and deployment.
  • Support and accountable for timely releases
  • Prepares data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows. Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects.
  • Carry out root cause analysis on defects to ensure fixes are happening in the right way.
  • Provide mentorship to teammates
  • As a team member work hand in hand with product owner to break down user stories.
  • Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure the reliability and correctness of integration solutions.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve reported issues promptly.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, APIs, and processes.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to team members.
  • Managing software risk, balancing priorities, going above and beyond the call of duty.

Position Requirement

  • 3+ years of experience in .Net or C#.
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
  • Experience in open source frameworks.
  • Experience in Agile practice.
  • Familiarity with API protocols and standards (REST, SOAP).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex integration issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms for APIs.
