Parkland Center for Clinical Innovation has an opening for a Senior Data Engineer position in Dallas, TX. This is a hybrid position. Employee is allowed to work remotely from pre-approved locations. Must report to office when requested. Duties include:

  1. Work with stakeholders and application developers to create high performance, extensible data models/database structures to facilitate business use cases.
  2. Develop and support ETL processes to improve quality and integrity of data imports.
  3. Manage database servers through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
  4. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  5. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
  6. Assist Application Developers with the creation of queries and database functions, provide guidance on performance and optimization.

Requirements: Employer will accept a minimum of Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Engineering with 36 months of experience in database administration, data engineering, or closely related occupation. Experience should include:

  1. 3 years of experience designing, developing, and building data pipelines to solve problems in data and applications.
  2. 3 years of experience designing and developing high performance, extensible data models/database structures for enterprise applications.
  3. Experience with SQL and Python programming skills.
  4. Experience with dashboarding tools like Power BI or Tableu.
