Job Description

Position requires an experienced SharePoint administrator to manage classified and unclassified Department of Defense SharePoint environments for the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC).

Responsible for configuring, managing, and when necessary, migrating SharePoint platforms across Department of Defense NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS domains. Provide Site Administration and staff support for SharePoint Team Sites, including list design, page layouts, and permissions to meet functional requirements. Assists organizational content managers and owners in institutionalizing web-based document management best practices. Supports SharePoint

A customer-friendly work approach is essential. Serves as primary onsite technical Tier 1 and 2 support and trainer for SharePoint operations for users, content managers, and supporting administrators. Ability to constructively apply strong technical SharePoint knowledge to support the JECC's user community.

Responsibilities:

  • Installing the SharePoint platform, integrating applications, and creating libraries.
  • Adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions.
  • Performing maintenance of the SharePoint platform, servers, and intranet.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions.
  • Providing SharePoint support and end-user training.
  • Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
  • Reviewing usage and activity reports and making adjustments to ensure optimized user-experiences.
  • Maintaining network infrastructure, as well as managing encryption, security zones, and firewalls.
  • Keeping up to date with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades.
  • Provide user and content manager training.
  • Create SharePoint user guides, "how-to", FAQs, and technical papers.

SharePoint Administrator Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
  • At least 4 years' experience as a SharePoint administrator.
  • SharePoint Online experience strongly desired.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems (O365) suite.
  • Knowledge of supporting tools, including: Power BI, Power Apps, PowerShell, ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks.
  • Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Required Clearance: ACTIVE SECRET

Desired Clearance: TS/SCI

Desired Certifications: Security + , Microsoft O365 Certified Teamwork Administrator Associate
