  • What You'll Do/ A Day In The Life Typically Includes

Process end-to-end payroll. Compute all types of wages including adjustments and overtime, and issue special pay. Reconcile all deductions including 401K contributions and loans. Manage all aspects of employee leave claims including FMLA, short-term disability, long-term disability and paid and unpaid leaves of absence. Manage timecards for employees on leave of absence. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, including remittance of payroll taxes. Serves as point of contact for employees and/or supervisors to identify and provide reasonable accommodations, coordinate and maintain documentation on accommodation efforts. Handle employee benefits and pay- related questions and issues.

  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ongoing administration of all employee benefits programs, such as group health, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, retirement, COBRA, and rewards and recognition programs.
  • Oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans. Also serves as point of contact for employees and/or supervisors to identify and provide reasonable accommodations, coordinate and maintain documentation on accommodation efforts.
  • Data entry and maintenance of all employee information in the HRIS system
  • Ensure all benefit compliance requirements are fulfilled.
  • Help execute annual benefit open enrollment. Participate in renewal meetings with benefit broker
  • First point of contact for all staff benefits and compensation questions
  • Counsel with employees and supervisors concerning leave benefits and provide employees with accurate information on deductions from pay relating to absences, medical certification requirements, return-to-work dates, etc.
  • Work cooperatively with Finance department and risk management to process and coordinate all employee leaves and absences.
  • Processing all aspects of payroll, including managing company budgets and expenses. They work closely with different departments to increase performance and ensure smooth operations.
  • Process and monitor garnishment orders.
  • Handle employee complaints about incorrect payments and resolve any discrepancies
  • Work Environment
  • Hybrid - 2 days onsite.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to use computer equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision in order to use PC/CRT and read written documents.

Qualifications
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or three years benefits or leave administration and/or Human Resources experience in Leave oOf Absence administration.
    • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory, legal requirements and reporting, including ACA, COBRA, EEO, ERISA, HIPAA, FLSA, and FMLA
    • PHR certification /Certified Benefits Professional (CBP)/Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
    • Experience with high-volume, multi-state payroll with payroll taxes handled internally preferred.
    • Paycom experience highly preferred
