Job Description
Almac Group is currently seeking a Lab Aide for our Souderton Pa. location. The Lab Aide will Manages laboratory supplies, maintains laboratory waste, maintains inventories and support analytical projects as required, assists in the efficient operation of the laboratory, and ensures that schedules are met and that the quality of work meets specified standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform laboratory duties in support of GMP and non-GMP analytical project work. Including:
Wash and maintain glassware stocks
Maintain and order laboratory consumables and supplies
Receive and log analytical samples/reagents
Prepare reagents, mobile phases and sample solutions in accordance with written documents
Set up, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
Prepare materials for shipment and coordinate with responsible departments.
Collate and remove laboratory waste to proper staging areas at the site for disposal.
Perform analytical duties right-first-time in order to complete work within the budgeted resource time and in line with agreed timelines.
Participate in training to gain a full understanding of all necessary techniques used and retain an up to date knowledge of these along with all relevant safety procedures.
Ensure that unplanned deviations (UPDs) are kept to a minimum and that your line manager is notified as soon as UPDs are generated. In addition, ensure that any corrective or preventative action arising from a UPD is completed in full and within allocated timeframes.
Ensure that lab and write-up areas are maintained in an audit-ready condition at all times.
Be responsible for the management of own work schedule and provide regular updates to line manager and team members.
Perform other duties as may be deemed appropriate by the supervisor and that fall within the general remit of the post.
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
Required Education:
High school diploma/GED with a minimum of one (1) year of science laboratory experience or Associate degree required
Preferred Education:
Associates degree in Analytical or Chemistry or Life Sciences related discipline
Preferred Experience
Previous experience within a cGMP/pharmaceutical environment
Previous practical analytical chemistry experience
