This team member will be actively leading and participating in daily production and process improvement of our fixed cutter product line.As a Manufacturing Supervisor - Nights, you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for managing the activities within the Diamond Drill Bit production area to meet safety, quality, production and cost goals.
- Responsible for the planning, coordination and direction of all production operations to ensure maximum throughput and quality.
- Utilize problem solving techniques and continuous process improvement tools to improve area key performance indicators.
- Plans, organizes and implements manufacturing procedures in accordance with managed quarterly and annual budgets.
- Develops, analyzes, and presents weekly reports, including but not limited to, forecasts, productivity, and safety.
- Makes budgetary recommendations and may coordinate procurement for capital expenditures.
- Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees.
- Typically managing hourly employee populations.
- May be responsible for multiple product lines.
- Selects, hires and trains personnel.
- Handles special projects, as assigned
- This is a 2nd shift position Monday-Friday 4:00pm-2:00am
- Bachelor's Degree - BS Mechanical Engineering, BS Industrial Engineering, BS Industrial Distribution degree preferred.
- 2-4 years manufacturing experience preferably as a supervisor or team lead
- Experience generating plant production reports - preferably using SAP, Excel or Tableau
- Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and customer focused with a drive for results.
- Ability to manage time, make quality decisions, and manage and measure work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing principles, concepts, theories and practices of area of responsibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Established Project Management Skills.
- Strong financial & data analysis skills.
- Good organizing, planning, and presentation skills.
- Monday-Friday 4:00pm-2:00am
