Our innovative physical and digital solutions improve efficiency, production and maximize reservoir value.Partner with the bestBaker Hughes is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor - Nights position as part of the Drill Bit Manufacturing organization. This team member will be actively leading and participating in daily production and process improvement of our fixed cutter product line.As a Manufacturing Supervisor - Nights, you will be responsible for:
  • Responsible for managing the activities within the Diamond Drill Bit production area to meet safety, quality, production and cost goals.
  • Responsible for the planning, coordination and direction of all production operations to ensure maximum throughput and quality.
  • Utilize problem solving techniques and continuous process improvement tools to improve area key performance indicators.
  • Plans, organizes and implements manufacturing procedures in accordance with managed quarterly and annual budgets.
  • Develops, analyzes, and presents weekly reports, including but not limited to, forecasts, productivity, and safety.
  • Makes budgetary recommendations and may coordinate procurement for capital expenditures.
  • Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees.
  • Typically managing hourly employee populations.
  • May be responsible for multiple product lines.
  • Selects, hires and trains personnel.
  • Handles special projects, as assigned
  • This is a 2nd shift position Monday-Friday 4:00pm-2:00am
Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will have:
  • Bachelor's Degree - BS Mechanical Engineering, BS Industrial Engineering, BS Industrial Distribution degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years manufacturing experience preferably as a supervisor or team lead
  • Experience generating plant production reports - preferably using SAP, Excel or Tableau
  • Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and customer focused with a drive for results.
  • Ability to manage time, make quality decisions, and manage and measure work.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing principles, concepts, theories and practices of area of responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Established Project Management Skills.
  • Strong financial & data analysis skills.
  • Good organizing, planning, and presentation skills.
