POSITION SUMMARY:
Work within product engineering and manufacturing to continually improve product reliability; troubleshoot, diagnose and repair circuit boards and electro-mechanical assemblies, while providing circuit design and construction enhancements; support manufacturing activities with troubleshooting and diagnostic expertise; assist with new and existing product reliability including circuit analysis, schematic design, layout, building prototypes, and testing of circuits, circuit boards and assemblies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Perform electrical engineering tasks in direct support of new product development, product feature and reliability enhancements, and ongoing production
- Participate in the design of new or modified electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies, build and test prototypes
- Support manufacturing activities with high level expertise as needed
CAPABILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:
- To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government
- Strong familiarity with Linux and tools
- Strong electrical analysis, testing, and troubleshooting skills
o Digital and microcontroller-based logic
o Basic analog and data acquisition circuitry
o Communications and networking
o Battery related circuits
o Power supplies and power conversion
o Electro-mechanical assemblies
- Experience with EMC testing and mitigation techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to work both independently and within team environments
- Fluent in various CAD and electronic documentation systems
- Experienced with working with outside vendors and design/fabrication contractors
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an equivalent capacity
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
